Lightweight Rain Pants
For soggy backpacking trips in the Pacific Northwest or sloppy
approaches to long alpine rock routes, pull on the Outdoor Research
Men's Foray Pant for full waterproof breathable protection thanks to
lightweight Gore-Tex PacLite fabric. This lightweight pant gives you big
protection from the elements, but packs up small when the storm clears
and it's time to get after it. A ¾-length side zipper lets you ventilate
in humid conditions or pull the pants on and off while wearing boots. A
gusseted crotch and articulated knees help maintain mobility when
you're hiking through the deluge., Rain pants, also called rain trousers, are waterproof or water-resistant pants worn to protect the body from rain. Rain pants may be combined with a rain jacket to make a rain suit. Rain gaiters may also be used for further protection. While rain pants can be made of plastic or coated nylon, modern waterproof materials are commonly used, including waterproof-breathable fabric such as Gore-Tex, The Outdoor Research Women’s Reflexa Pant features fully taped seams and
Pertex fabric to keep the rain off when you’re on the trail. A gusseted
crotch and a bit of stretch in the fabric let you move freely when
you’re hiking the last few miles to camp. Outdoor Research added
full-length side zippers to help you change into or out of these pants
quickly and without removing your boots.
